Company not disconnecting the connection and sending the bills and sending legal notices

Respected Sir,

We have been using the telephone line of the above mentioned comapany, bearing No. 01871501476, We have used the services for 1 year and were regular payer, but since some months before disconnection the lines regulary remained dead and there were no services at all. We have applied for disconnection but company have not disconnected the no. and raised the bills . First two months bills were paid by us and we have ourselve visited the local office of the company to surrender our connection but they refused to accept the same, We have couriered the same to their address. Now company is sending legal notices for payments. Please resolve.
