I was booking a ticket from Chennai to Ranchi. The money was paid by net banking and details were provided. Due to some internet connection error the server of Yatra.com did not pick the details. I got a call from Yatra that they have received the payment and they even told me the flight details, traveller details and gave me a reference number and said the ticket would be confirmed in half and hour and asked me to give them a call after half hour.
After half an hour when I called them the representative(Manvi) said that the booking is still not done and it will take another half to one hour and if in the mean time the rates got increased I would have to pay the difference amount for booking. I requested her to refund my money so that I could make another booking. She told me that they can not refund my money as booking might be in progress. After much heated conversation she told me that I have to pay the difference if the rate got increased in this one hour(which was not because of any of my fault) and she can not do anything for this.
This is very fraudulant behaviour on part of Yatra.com and they are harassing customer on regular basis with such problems(one of my friend told me a similar story which happend with him). Such fraudulant behaviour must be punished and the company must be legally and financially penalised for harassing its customer.
