Cheating by Dining Plus
Dear Sir/Madam,
My complain is against DINING PLUS for requesting payment of INR 5499.00 from my HDFC credit card without my consent.
I have received a call on 08th August 2012 from dining plus (01204736800 / 01204835500 / 01204809300) for a free discount card.
Initially I denied it, but after a no. of requests I approved it, on assurance that there are no fees or charges associated with it. Later I got an SMS (from hdfc) that INR 5499 is debited from your credit card (Note that the person had asked me for my credit card no. and assured me that this just for verification purpose). I tried to speak on the contact no. provided for query but every time it was busy or not approachable. I spoke to my credit card customer care (HDFC Bank) and they told me to concern with dinning plus, and no transaction can be requested using only credit card no. and expiry date information.
Still now they did not providing me any solid reply and this has been a mental pain for me. Please advise how should I proceed with this issue and what can I claim from them.
