I write this with a heavy heart and as a dissatisfied customer. Not sure if anything can be done, however its my duty to bring to your attention and a morale right of a customer.
I purchased my 1st car – Maruti Ertiga LXi petrol on 8th April 2013 from the Maruti Showroom located at Kalmadi Petrol pump, J.M. Road, Pune through Sales Representative – Keshav (Registration No. MH12 JU8671).
The experience was not a worthy one. Besides the glitches, of reaching the showroom on the agreed date and not getting the delivery, then the next day, a late delivery without any pooja etc. the main thing I’m writing today is that the vehicle is due for its 1st insurance renewal and I get to know that the Sales Representative – Keshav lied to me about the Manufacture year of the car.
I realised after a couple of months on receipt of the smart card, that the vehicle is manufactured in 2012, and I was not informed of the same at the time of delivery. When I called Keshav, he denied, stating that it could be a mis-print and the vehicle is 100% 2013 model. Today the Insurance company states that I was fooled and the vehicle is actually a 2012 manufacture and nothing could be done since it is registered in my name for a year now.
Very sad that a well reputed company like Maruti could give such a dreadful experience.

PS. After a few days the revert I received from Maruti is that they gave me accessories worth 10,000 to compensate at the time of purchase. This is absolutely wrong, because it was given as a part of negotiation and not for a previous year manufacture, which Keshav – Maruti Sales agreed to, just last week.
