Blue Dart & Hare Krishna Packers

Dear Sir/Madam,
I hired Hare Krishna Packers (Main Mata Mandir Road, Sheetla Enclave, Sector 5, Gurgaon) to ship a 29” Color TV (LG Ultra Slim XD) from Gurgaon to Kanpur. I was told by Hare Krishna Packers official named Kuldeep (9910200793) that my TV would be shipped through Blue Dart courier services and would be charged @30 Rupees per Kilogram. Weight of the TV as mentioned on the packing box was 37.5 Kilogram.
Two of pickup guys turned up on August 13, 2012 at my place and they brought a packing paper (with pipes),bubble wrap paper, lamination paper and packing tape. I asked them to use the original box for better packing (please be awared that they were packing using their own stuff). I asked them to use the thermocol for screen safety & thermocol support of TV.
They packed the TV in 5 minutes with everything they had and I provided. In this process, a little bit of television was not settled in the box and anyone could feel the TV out of the box. On my objection, I was told its their daily work and nothing gonna happen to my TV its well packed. I paid 2500 rupees and got the receipt (1200 for TV and thousand 1300 extra for toll tax and charges of pick up and drop which wasn’t told to me earlier) next day (August 14, 2012) I got a call from Hare Krishna Packers that the volumetric weight of the television in 70 Kg and I need to pay more 900 rupees for it which I paid and got the way bill number (50161334403). In total I paid 3400 rupees for this shipment.
I checked on Blue Dart site on morning August 17, 2012 and the status was ‘Connection Lost” by the evening the status was changed to “Consignee Not Available at the Given Address”. I cross checked and got to know that no one turned up at Kanpur Address and we didn’t receive any call from Blue Dart. So I provided a feedback on Blue Dart site regarding it.
I tried to call blue dart contact person (Mr Chandra Bhan+(91)-(512)-2366857, 2398314, +(91)-9935098139) but no one never responded – I tried 10 times on August 17 and twice on august 18.
I reached Kanpur on August 18, 2012 in order to trace my Television. I got the shipment at around 1 PM and scolded the delivery boys as this time we received a call from Blue Dart that shipment is at the given addres. Reason for my Anger was the call and lie from the delivery boys and Blue Dart. If we could receive a call on August 18 then why they didn’t call on August 17 – reason is clear – no one actually came to ship the TV.
Both delivery boys were saying that someone else must have come yesterday. They delivered the television at the first floor and opened the box. The upper right, upper left panel and the stand was totally broken. Anyone can judge that the box was dropped from top and bottom (twice) and everything got broken. I locked the delivery boys in the house and didn’t allow to leave.
Delivery Boys called up their supervisor Mr Manoj (+91-8127584164) and he took the details about the damages. Mr Manoj told me that same delivery boys were send a day before to deliver the package (contradictory to what the delivery boys were saying). I tried numerous times to call Mr Kuldeep of Hare Krishna Packers and he didn’t pick up my call. The shipment paper says that the fee of this shipment is 1248 rupees instead of 3400 rupees paid.
I signed the receiving copy with the comment ‘TV’s FRONT PANEL & TOP PANEL & STAND IS BROKEN. THERE’S MUD & THROUGH THIS TV IS MIDHANDLED & LOSS OF 15000 (FIFTEEN THOUSAND).
I was assured by Mr Manoj that Damages would be paid by Blue Dart and I should let the delivery boys go. Since Mr Manoj couldn’t provide any written or documented assurance of liability, I called up customer care center of blue dart and formally registered a complaint regarding the same (Complaint Number: 214520)
When the Customer Care Agent assured that the complaint is being documented, I allowed the delivery boys to leave and took the cell phone number of Mr Manoj and Mr Raja.
Sooner, I got a call from Mr Manoj to know whether the delivery boys have left. I asked him about the process of the damage control. He assured me that he is going to reply on the email I sent on Friday about the ‘Consignee Not Available’ to process the payment method of damages (which I never received)
Today, I got a follow up call from Blue Dart and the lady was saying that Blue Dart has started the investigation to know more about the damages and the causes. She said its strange that panel is broken and screen is not.
I didn’t know that I should have expected the broken screen as well cause I was the one who insisted to put the termocol in front of screen. If it wasn’t there – damages would have high.
Hare Krishna Packers (Agency of Blue Dart) & Blue Dart itself has harassed and disappointed me a lot.
