My sister, who subscribed to Airtel’s Postpaid number, recently shifted from Gurgaon to Pune. Airtel cancelled the connection without prior intimation and then presented a bill of Rs.2200 on 14th May 2013 (Customer Care person : Mr. Zahir Pathan).I received a call again today (15th May 2013) from Mr. Kuldeep Shukla. The customer care person spoke impolitely to the level of mental harassment, while I wondered how a 299 rental number could produce a bill of 2200 with zero usage for a month despite the roaming! He said the number could be deactivated within 5 minutes of bill payment. When I paid the bill today, the customer care person (Mr. Kuldeep Shukla) tells me that another Rs.1360 is pending! I told him to send me an email showing the breakup of the charges immediately, how over Rs. 1000+ gets added in a day! Also, he spoke of reactivating the number when I had asked him to deactivate it permanently, after he had admitted the number was non-functional since 13th April 2013. However, he has not sent an email regarding either deactivation or a transparent account of the tariffs charged and I am not willing to pay more money blindly. Please advise.
