I had raised a request for disconnection of my Airtel Fixed line broadband services on June 18th, 2013 (Phone number 0522-4101034, Request ID: 34315668) as I do not need the connection anymore. I received multiple calls from Airtel to confirm the disconnection and I did confirm that they should go ahead with the same as soon as possible. I was told that it will be completed by June 25th, 2013.
The disconnection was not completed by July 2nd, 2013 as well, that is when my father called up Airtel service again to check with them on the status of my request. He was told that I asked Airtel to continue the connection – which is contrary to what really happened. I never wanted to continue this connection since I have moved to Pune and no one in my direct or extended family needs it now – I have confirmed this to Airtel multiple times. They told him that they are now opening another disconnection request (Id: 34998292) and will cater to it at the earliest.
I have started getting confirmation calls again from Airtel about why I wish to disconnect. Can someone please help me get through this? I do not want to end up paying an extra month of rental charges just because of Airtel’s carelessnes.
