Airtel Broadband scam…. continues

This is regarding the scam in which people from Airtel Broadband are involved at several levels. I was having a Airtel broadband connection 08040958051 in Btm 2nd stage, Bangalore. This connection has been there for almost 3 yrs. Recently I shifted to my own new house in the same locality and raised a request for shifting the connection. The reference no is 53108540, registered on 28/01/2015. I was informed both via SMS and customer care that within 5 days this will be done. On 28th eve, I got a call from Airtel saying that ports are not available in my area. However, when I told the person that many people in my apartment have got a new connection recently, then he called me the other day saying that if I am Ok with my landline number getting changed then they can provide the connection. I agreed for the same as my nature of work involves high internet usage and my work was getting hampered. However no body came to provide the connection, when I tried to reach on the same number that person had called from, it appeared to be invalid. I waited for 2 days… but nothing happened. Finally I contacted customer care again and after apologising I was asked to wait for another 24hrs before I got the connection. Till now I have contacted cust care 5 times but no results. Finally I got a sms today that Airtel needs another 5 days to resolve my issue. Airtel claims there are technical issues but they don’t know the exact reason. I see people in my locality getting new connections every other day.
why I call.it a scam is becuase in 2011 similar incident happened with me. I had changed my house in the same licality and after more than a month of waiting my Airtel broadband wasn’t shifted… reason being no ports avaialble. On the contrary I took a new Airtel connection while kept getting the same reason for my old connection. I had to shell out more money to get a new connection, but being a critical time I had opted for it.
This time I was a little sceptical that I might face similar issue, hence I informed the cust care regarding my earlier incident the first time I had called requesting for shifting my connection. And it appeared to be the same pathetic story… ports not available, technical problems, etc. It has been more tha 7 days, but no outcome.
Airtel seems to discourage shifitng connections anf force its customers to opt for new ones… as they not only get more money every new connection but also helps its employees to meet targets of new connections every month or quarter.
Consumet forum has helped me in the past and I believe it will come to rescue this time as well. We need catch these mean service providers who are playing dirty games with its own customers

I can bet, if today I go througj some agent, I can get a new Airtel connection within a day.
