Hi All,
3 months back I had applied for cancellation of HDFC Bank – Titanium International Credit Card by calling customer care number and that was the mistake which I did. I was given with incorrect information that, it would be processed and I would need to pay the full due amount once I get a call from other department. However I had not recieved any call from either from cancellation department and I had to urgently go out of country for 3 months .I had made the payment for minimum due amount but I was late since it took time to transfer amount to India.
I was surprised when I came back to India to see that my card was not cancelled and on the other hand I was charged late payment fees for 3 months irrespecitve of my request for cancellation of the card.
I was shocked when I called customer care number to know the status and got to know that I need to submit a letter with my signature in HDFC Bank. When I mentioned about the information provided earlier then I got a response that, We are sorry that you got a wrong information from them and late payment fees and Interest cannot be reversed. I am so disappointed with this response from them.
Saddest part is that, I had asked for solution and the reply which I recieved is ‘Standard’ email from them.
I request you not to opt for credit card from HDFC Bank.
