Failure in servicing Tablet Computer

1. I bought a tablet computer manufactured by HCL Infosystems Ltd from Capital Electronics, Kolkata on 18.8. 2011.

2. Soon after, I discovered that Youtube was not playing on the machine, nor was most video files playing.

3. When I informed HCL by mail (on 17 October 2011) and by Helpline (1860-1800-425), they suggested
some measures on phone, and then mailed me informing that they had pleasure in
solving my problem, though the problem was not solved, which I informed them by
mail.

4. This went on for many times, and then they mailed me some attachments, which –
they said – would fix my problems.

5. But even that did not work. Then I again told them. This went on, until when they advised me contact the Kolkata Service centre saying they would help me.

6. I went there and submitted my Tablet computer on 24.3. 2012. They received the machine on a written complaint that Youtube and VLC are not working and on the understanding that they would fix the problems by giving the applications. (Service Call No. 8400134131).

7. However, after sometime, they called me saying that such applications would not be working in the machine. I demanded written statements from them, which they gave quite after sometime.

8. On receiving their written statement, I mailed them asking (1) why they did not tell me this when I mailed them stating my problem at first and (2) why they received my machine stating that they would fix the problem by giving the
applications. Until now, I have not received any answer despite several reminders. I have informed them that I would not receive the machine from them until I receive satisfactory answers to my queries. However, they have never sent me any answers despite repeated mails, and – on the contrary – they are pressuring me to take back the machine from them though they have not serviced the machine as per the condition on which they have received it from me. The machine is still lying with them, as a result of which I am deprived of service for my money.
