Delay In Refunds

I am a frequent traveler to north India, mainly New Delhi.

Month of May 2015 had a lot of train cancellation from New Delhi to Mumbai due to the gujjar agitation. Owing to which I had exhausted my 10 booking limit on the irctc online booking. So I decided to get some train booking done through makemytrip.com ( bookings for travel dated 29th / 30th & 31st May 2015 ). Unfortunately trains for the 29th & 30th were cancelled after chart preparation.

I did receive refunds on cancelled trains for booking done directly through irctc. And also received SMS from irctc for refunds to be collected by agent for bookings done through makemytrip.

On contacting makemytrip, I was informed that I shall only be able to receive refunds in my account after 90 WORKING DAYS??!!!

The point is, if irctc refunds within no time, why does it take makemytrip 90 days divert my refund in 90 days?? Is it that makemytrip is EARNING any interest on 90 days?? In such case why use my money for them to earn??

I do request to look into this matter.
