Location/place: Bangalore
Name of company/service: HP India
One of USB port (right hand side) had come out on its own.
For the first time I took the laptop to nearest service centre.
After seeing the laptop he suggested to check wheather that is under accident protection warranty.
Then I lodged a complaint for onsite warranty coverge.
The person visited after long wait and suggested again to submit the same at another service center as it was a hardware replacement.
Then I placed my Laptop on 27th Feb at nearest HP service center.
Now I came to know on 8th Mar that the damage happened to the laptop doesnot come under Accidental Protection Plan.
I really do not understand this point.
Now HP service center claims that can be repaired under payable basis.
If the part has come out on its own then definitely it comes under manufacturing defect and should be covered under warranty.
Being any other case the part has been damaged under accidental conditions and in such case the repair should happen under accident protection plan.
In either case the part has to be replaced free of cost.
Also I find the local service center is not tranparant enough to produce a proper written comment for the same.
Above whole scenario has been already sent to a contact person of HP as refered by HP customer care.
The case ID: 4694735929
Now I have really no idea how to get it repaired.
