My husband died in Oct 2009 and with the intention to visit Saudi Arabia and perform Umrah in Holy Makkah, I applied for the renewal of my expired passport 26-10-2009. I did not receive any status on my passport renewal till January 2010. I contacted the RPO, Hyderabad and I was told that the passport was sent to wrong address. We have furnished the correct address in the application and the old passport was submitted along with. I was also told to come in person to Hyderabad and furnish the correct residential proof documents. Being a senior citizen and a widow it is difficult for me to travel to Hyderabad. I made a trip to Hyderabad three times in this connection spending good amount of money. Only in my third visit in early March 2010, the PA of RPO, Hyderabad met us and took the details, asked us to go back and the passport will be sent in 10 days. At last on April 09, 2010 I received the passport. To my surprise, except my name and photo all other details like my mother’s name, husband’s name, place of birth, residential address and my old passport details are wrongly mentioned. I am attaching the copy of my new passport for your perusal.
I have lost enough money and time on this and I am in urgent need to go to Makkah and Madina. I have lost hope on the system the RPO, Hyderabad deals with the senior citizens. Hence I approach your office through this mail to investigate this and help me in getting my correct passport. My son’s email address is mentioned here. I file this complaint with a great hope that at least your office will understand my urgency and help me out of this problem.
