I bought a nokia c5-08 mobile in end 2011. From the first day, the sliding of the data / pictures on the screen were erratic. I did not heed much attention since i thought it to be a teething problem. Subsequently, the problem worsened and I approached the Nokia care center at pvr priya complex in delhi. After taking the phone from me, the technician did the so called inspection in an adjoining room and came back to tell me that the phone cannot be covered under warranty since it was subjected to liquid damage. I was astonished to hear that about a new phone with no contact with water whatsoever. I took it in the stride and decided to wait for the warranty period to get over and again approached another nokia center at tilak nagar, delhi. After confirming that the phone was not under warranty, the technician told that the touchscreen required a change and the cost was Rs. 1800/- (and no mention of liquid damage whatsover!!!!). I paid the amount and got the phone back. After a week, the phone went dead, and on approaching the nokia care centre, I was told that the same can be repaired paying another Rs 1800/-. Since I did not intend to keep paying money at such high rates, I approached service centre of the mobile store where the technician opened the phone in front of me and showed that the IC was damaged and he confirmed that some one had willfully damaged it since it had some chemicals in the vicinity. Again the service was denied. My whole experience with two nokia smartphones have been poor both with the reliability of the instrument and the customer care centre ( I can’t understand why they cannot show the opening of the phone like it is being done by technicians with the mobile store unless they have some wrong purpose. My next buy will not be a nokia phone.
