Even I have been charged for mgossip something I don’t even know of. Vodafone is letting me down. I will be switching to other network provider who would charge me for what I use and Wont loot me off. disgrace!!!

I too have the same problem. The vodafone company is deducting the ₹49 balance and when we ask for any help in customer care they just say you have downloaded some app and speak rudely to the customers. These are not the standards of an MNC.

I also faced the same issue. I charged Rs. 49 for d2c_mgossip_pack49 in my vodafone bill.
I called customer care and asked to provide the details of the package; he doesn’t have any details. Then I asked to log a complaint; but he said that he cannot log a complaint because charges are shown in the bill !!!
It’s very unprofessional from a reputed service provider like vodafone that they cannot log a complaint & and not provide the details. -

I am also the victim of same d2cmgossip pack49 fraudulent charges on my bill. When i called the customer care the stupid representative of vodafone was telling that i browsed on some website which is a paid website. I asked which is that website and that idiot says 95% websites are free and 5% is paid LOL. Now only an idiot can digest this awful reason. So i am planing to port my network to Airtel if these frauds vodafone from UK don’t give my money back.

When I called the customer care they say somewebsites have links which is charged if we click accidentally. And to my surprise all those downloads took place in midnight when I’m asleep and more than that I haven’t used my mobile those days since I was out of country.
This month again I got charged as follows:
mobilart_valuepack- 30rs
animation_download -15rs
d2c_mgossip_pack49 – 49Rs.
So, will there be mistakes happening routinely?
Will I have these charges all through my life if I use Vodafone?
When I ask this to the customer care representative, they say that they are not aware and someone from technical support will contact me. But no hope.
Someone please help me how to make a complaint to get my money back.
And already I have decided to port my number to Airtel.

Same here. This is cheating with the customers. Moreover the customer service says “Sir, yeh charge to dena padega.” I was also charged twice for d2c_mgossip_pack with in one billing cycle. I never authorized this download nor I have it on my phone. If Vodafone is reading all these posts, they should now by now that something is wrng, so many customers cannot be wrong. This is a very unethical way of making money. We expet the MNC to follow an ethical code of running business and not charge customers with any fraudulent charges. We request vodafone to look into this matter on a priority.

I guess all the customers are facing problems with (d2c_mgossip_pack) their favourite money charging pack.If Vodafone care ppl are saying “You must have accidentally clicked on the link which was chargeable” which, I think is a rubbish excuse and does not make sense, if you have not used it ever.Also, if you go by their saying that, you have been charged for visiting so and so website, in that case the broadband (internet) connection which some of you might have been using would have also charged the same way. Additionally, I never have been charged while I was using my vodafone prepaid connection so how come they are charging now? Vodafone please look into this issue ASAP, if you don’t you w’ll lose all your customers (See whats happening with loop). So request take this issue on priority.

Vodafone is complete disgrace. I have been harassed by these people for past 2-3 months now. Everytime there is an issue in internet charges. Their customer care service is dismal. I have also been charged for mgossip, ndtv, hello4all. No details about the website is available with vodafone. The customer care people just say that it is content and not any website and that’s all. No intimation regargding the charges. Accidental click… what a pathetic excuse. I have been charged Rs 98 (Rs 49 X 2) for some pack I never heard of i.e. GOSSIP Pack and that even after midnight when I was actually sleeping on 10th & 11th August 2014.
So either I’m sleep walking with my mobile and activating those awesome GOSSIP Packs as I have nothing to do while sleep walking, OR Vodafone is illegally earning revenue in MILLIONS by activating mGossip Pack to unaware PostPaid user !!! -

I had the same issue in my last month’s bill, customer care personnel kept saying that I’ve clicked a link that is payable. Vodafone deducted Rs 99/- from Vodafone mobile balance without informing me. Only send an SMS that I have purchased a coupon to participate a lucky draw competition for a travel to Singapore in m.MyDala.com. Then vodafone customer care saying they can do nothing because I did a chargeable download from MyDala.com. I asked customer case how an outside company automatically deduct my mobile balance? Customer care did not took the complain by just avoiding me. So its group fraud scam by Vodafone and MyDala tied up as a group. Telephone companies like Vodafone and doing scam like unknowingly forced purchase and deduct mobile balance by opening my mobile account balance to outsider. Its a fraud scam and vodafone trying hide it with legal rapper as TRI already restricted the VAS. So its a SCAM!!! Be aware vodafone customers that your mobile is accessible to anyone you don’t know yet. They can transfer money from your bank account as they will told you that you downloaded coupon from mydala of RS 20000 and its deducted from your account.

Same problem I m also facing in last month they charged me 320 when I called customer care they told u had download something but I didn’t download anything. Then I send message from my number for portability. After 2 day customer called me and asking for switching then I told him the problem then they deduct this amount from my bill . The below I got from vod care for the problem….Further, we wish to inform you that have been charged Rs. 49.00/- against the invoice dated 12/10/2014 for download of d2c_mgossip_p****** on 28/09/2014.Hence charges are valid and same is reflecting on page number five.
We assure you that our billing system accurately monitors and records usage of each SIM Card. This ensures that you are billed only for the service which you have actually utilized.

Vodafone have changed me for unnecessary download which I have never did related to NDTV.
I raised a complains two time [492821256 , 493006206] and they closed it with the comment that downloading is done from my side, with out any acknowledgement.
I would like add up that I have internet pack of 3gb with 3g connection. How this internet pack is not covering it ??
I donot understand vodafone is a international company they should maintain standards. not to do cheap activities like this to earn money.

I am also a victim of poor vodafone services. this is 3rd instance in last 4 months when i have been charged unknown, unscrupulous download charges. I have been charged 99 Rs in my bill for some download by name D2C_NDTV_VALUEPK_99. This to when i am using a handset that is incapable of handling heavy data websites like NDTV. I have never used internet connection apart from whatsapp.
I raised two complaints (161658814 and 1615763914) and both complaints were closed with comment that my number is not reachable. Strangely enough when i use the same connection for by business and get calls from clients from all over india and Middle east all the times. My contact number is 8390769623. Even a mail to corporate care resulted in pre-composed response. Seems vodafone corporate care executives keeps on replying without even reading customer concerns.
If any of vodafone management is keeping a tab on this page, please take a serious note. -
I would like to inform about subscribtion the unwanted package (which was never done me and no information given through SMS/MAIL) done by vodafone
When I checked by prepaid account , I found that It is suddenly dropped to Rs 78 to 38 Rs.When I contact on 111 (customer care) (VISHAL), they told me that package was subscribed at 3.20 PM and due to this , amount is deducted
from your account. But they did not give the proper reason , they told me that A SMS must have come to you about this , But No SMS has come.When I further esquire about the package through my phone using last three charges , It was “D2C_MGOSSIP_PACK_49-MOBIGOSSIP” .

However the customer representative told me that they cannot reverse the charge nor can they deactivate the service. So am i supposed to pay for this unauthorized charge for the rest of my life? It is ridiculous how many people are affected by this and that Vodafone just feign ignorance. I too got charged Rs. 49 for dc2_mgossip pack which was allegedly downloaded on my phone at 7am when no one was using my phone. I have a box fresh iphone 6 with no jailbreak so its impossible that the phone was hacked or some 3rd party app did this.
This is purely someone at Vodafone who is involved with these people charging Rs. 49 and pocketing a percentage of this.
It really is a disgrace that neither Vodafone nor the Consumer court or Police is taking this seriously while these people are ripping off people and laughing about it straight in our faces.

Query:
I have never authorized Vodafone or it’s subsidiaries to charge on behalf of me without my approval. I consider this as a fraudulent activity against the customer and wish to file a case in Consumer court. W.r.t that I request you to provide me a written email stating that Vodafone has charged me Rs.49 for this internet download with supporting explanation from your company.
Please treat this issue at highest priority and do the needful. Appreciate your time and help in this regard.

I am writing this comment so that the concerned authorities may actually get to know about the kind of attitude they show to those hundreds of comments been posted above by those hundreds of valuable customers who are not being showed any sort of respect. If you continue following the same non ethical practices then very soon you will see those hundreds of customers being shifted to some other company, because you are not the only one in the market and this is not how you should run your business. Last but not the least, I too have been charged for the MOBIGOSSIP service which I am not going to tolerate and very soon going to make a shift to some other telecom service provider who is more transparent with their customers. -

2. DNLD_HELLO1_TV_10_HELLO1STOREMy understanding is that somehow mobile numbers are being disclosed/sniffed around which are used for sending flash messages across Vodafone customers.
Vodafone use flash messages for promoting their different plans. As flash messages are not stored on mobile, as any other message (like recharge notification) would, it’s untraceable under normal circumstances.Problem –
Either Vodafone is disclosing customer numbers (which is unauthorized) OR part of Vodafone network has been compromised.Probable Solution –
1. Vodafone must trace network traffic of few of the customers who have been charged in last few days.
2. Trace the source of the flash message senders.
3. Block packets from these sources.
4. Identify the people behind this and take legal action. -

I recently switch service from airtel to Vodafone and in first month I have been charged RS 99 For “d2c_ndtv_valuepk_9” really Vodafone making fool with Customers .

Its varying from 49 to 279 per month to per customer. Suppose if there are 1 lac user in NCR of vodafone then minimum fraud of 49 lac to 100 lac.

I have chaged my plan to Vodafone RED 3 months back and now understood its a new trap from vodafone to give more pains to the customers. Several times I am have requested to remove the charges for downloads which I never did and they are not knowing what are these downloads all about and they have no answer why its getting renewed every month. I had a strong complaint last month and this month they have changed the pack names with another as mentioned below:

And after sometime I am shocked my 100rupees have been cut from my balance. It’s very bad and I didn’t activated any service. -
I also faced the same issue. I charged Rs. 49( 5 times in a single bill making total of 245) for d2c_mgossip_pack49 in my vodafone bill.
It’s very unprofessional from a reputed service provider like vodafone that they cannot log a complaint & and not provide the details.

It seems that Vodafone got an IDEA to enhance there revenue by collecting extra amount from customer for the services which they never use 🙁
I also charged Rs. 567+taxes and 689+taxes for last 2 month bill for the services like d2c_mgossip49 and d2c_shotformats_ti. While I checked details on My Vodafone nothing found there. Check my SMS log ,no record for any service activation.
I tried to Vodafone but they refuse to give me any details and told me that I must use it. Vodafone doesn’t have any record and charge again and again even I was done all setting in my handset as suggested by Vodafone team last month.
This type of careless behaviour not expected from an MNC like Vodafone. Really it’s too disappointing specially when I am using this connection from last 7 year and it’s a Corporate connection.
No body ready to give response /solution from Vodafone either its account manager, Customer care, Corporate care ,appellate authority ???

I am a recent victim of this vodafone nonsense.. i have been charged Rs. 198 for some download. when i tried calling up the customer service the fellow said that its some 2 websites i visited and hence i have been charged 99 /- each on 2 days and that he cannot or rather is not allowed to disclose which websites they are.. i am shocked to read the above comments from various ppl. who have been complaining for a long time now abt similar thing… i later figured out that the same D@C NDTV PACK has been enabled and some other WEBBILL has been activated.. i want my charrges reveresed… ………………………….

Hi just now i checked my bill n vodafone has charged me 147 for some download with 0 kb downloads. So on inquiring they told me that i have downloaded some M Gossip pack.
So i just told them why should vodafone pay for my downloads. Now they will get back in 48 hrs so lets see -
Recently i saw a charge on my Vodafone account for 49Rs for a mgossip pack which i did not authorize, so i called up vodafone and asked them to remove the charge and deactive this service as i did not activate this service. However the customer representative told me that they cannot reverse the charge nor can they deactivate the service. So am i supposed to pay for this unauthorized charge for the rest of my life? I want this charge removed and this fraudulent service stopped.

My Self Rajbir Singh and Last Month i have purchased a Mobile Wifi Device of Vodafone No. 9811578238 with Plan of Rs.1250 (8 GB), after a complete of 1 month the bill was generate of amount of Rs.1720.34. In that bill you has shown the unnecessary amount of Rs.644 (vuclipindia_pack = Rs.75 + hello1_tvallsouth = Rs.99 + d2c_mazaa_49 = Rs.49 + dcd_shortformats_ti = Rs.99 + d2c_mobilart_75 = Rs.75 + d2c_mgossip_pack49 = Rs.49 + d2c_shotformats_ti = Rs.99 + d2c_mydala_99 = Rs.99) (screenshort from this bill was attached in this bill).
Then i call to customer care and asked several times but he/she said “you login or download from paid website” and then i am said “i m not applying and download from paid website” but your executives only said “you did – you did” then again i m asked for giving me the url of website then he/she say we are transfer your call to senior executive and cut the phone.
After many times of giving a call to customer care from my side then your senior executive said we will giving you the Rs.300/- discount.
i don’t know how you activate the plan or activities on my mobile wifi device without my permission.
But as usual your customer executive always said “its your fault – its your fault”, just like a parrot of taro card reader.
i ask you one thing you will be disconnect my this number and i will be paid the bill of Rs.1720.34 – 644 = 1076.34.
your company is 10th class company.
i have almost ten number of vodafone in billing, i am port the all number within a weak because your company has giving a fraud with customers.

Same with me. They charged me some 98 rupees for some NDTV d2c value pack which I never viewed or authorized them. They did the same last month and got it reversed. Again in this month they charged me. I am going to port my number as soon as I get time. Enough of their inaccurate billing!

I am also the victim of same fraud on recent bill generated on 04-02-2015. Rs. 99 have been charged for d2c_salparni_looka. Two months before also I was charged wrongly against some downloads which they have reverted when they were not able to provide the details of download. I have written the email to them lets see what is their excuse.

Sir im vodafone customer since 7yrs and i pay regular bill time to time i always pay extra bill
Eg. I got 300 rupees bill i pay 500
Previous month i got 500 bill but i payed 1000 rupess
If this kind of charges i have to pay then what is a use of it im just wasting my money and my precious time

I got my vodafone bill more than what it should come and when i look at the details 2 times 99 Rs have been deducted from it… There is no point in deducting the money in any case because neither I have subscribed for any thing nor I exceeded the limit. Please refund it or substract it adjust it in my next bill or else I will be escalating the matter ahead. Or even to the forums.
You all are just looting your customers just like that If I dnt get a response within a day I am going to stop using this number and also I will lodge complaints or FIR.

I have also been subject to such fraudulent scheme. Vodafone deducted Rs100 from my account(+91-9776209783) towards some fake scheme from Mydala,without my confirmation.
On calling the customer care, they are telling me that it was done by me and not by them.I am really very angry on the Vodafone and that Mydala.
Cheating their customers to steal their money is very cheap act by them.I cant even recharge my mobile thinking they may deduct my balance again.

I am a prepaid user and got around 99 rs deducted without my permission. when i called up the cuxtomer care they said that i have bymistakenly clicked on some advertisement and downloaded a chargable app due to which my balance was deducted. Now this was fishy.
1. I have a seperate pack of 102 for interenet and if data has to be deducted then it will be deducted from this pack, but it still shows that my 266mb data balance.
2. if its a chargable app., then it showuld ask me for paymenet asking for credit card for interenet banking but it cannot deduct balance from my phone balance.
I Called again and i asked for supervisor. he also said the same thing but finally agreed and said that he will refund my accont for 99 rs. and i received the msg that
they will refund my Rs. 99 for d2c_samsung_app_club_99.also I am using micromax phone and there is no way of downloading samsung app.

I had a vodafone postpaid number which I had been using for 6 months. I used to activate 3G internet packs on it once in a month. My bill amounts usually came in the range of 500-750. One fine day, I got a call from the customer care executive saying your bill amount is 1700 and asked me to pay immediately. I got shocked, since I never used my Internet packs/voice calls beyond a limit. When i enquired, the executive said it is because of my internet pack, which exceeded its limit. Vodafone never gave any alert when the pack got over in the first place, and I am sure I haven’t used it that much. Now they are threatening me over calls, asking me to pay Rs.2100 now itself and that they are filing an FIR. Vodafone is a great fraud. Wont go for it ever. Careful guys!!
