Vodafone, Airtel asking me to pay that does not exist

Dear Airtel and Vodafone,

This mail is to draw your attention with reference to the messages I am getting on my current Airtel Prepaid No. 9560878937 both from Airtel Prepaid and Vodafone Postpaid regarding due bill of Vodafone postpaid. Please consider the following facts:
1. I took Airtel Prepaid connection no. 9560878937 around two years ago.
2. Around September this year, I ported the above no. to Vodafone postpaid. In the course of porting, I also lost nearly 100 Rs. of talktime.
2. In December, I got fed up with Vodafone’s horrible network. So I paid the bill that the My Account option on Vodafone’s website showed under my name no. and requested for porting the number.
3. I also mailed Vodafone to respond with details of all any other due bill I needed to pay before porting back to Airtel Prepaid (Find the mail below). Vodafone did not respond. From my side, I had already paid the bill of Vodafone Postpaid being shown under My Account option.
4. Satisfied that there was no due bill, I followed the porting formalities after visiting an Airtel store. I also attached a copy of the Vodafone Postpaid payment bill along with the papers I submitted for porting to Airtel Prepaid.
5. Porting was done in mid December and I have been using the same No. as Airtel prepaid for the last one plus month.
6. For the past couple of weeks I have been getting messages from Vodafone of due bill payment of Rs. 145 something. Despite having already paid all the due amount to Vodafone Postpaid, I still went on the Vodafone My Account web page to pay the bill and get rid of Vodafone. But I could not pay the bill anymore as the My Account section now says that there is no mobile number 9560878937 in Vodafone. Effectively I can’t pay the bill anymore. I hence ignored the subequent mails from Vodafone.
7. Today, I got mail from Airtel Prepaid twice that my no. will be disconnected if I do not pay the bill of the previous operator.
8. The fact being I had already paid the bill in the first place and attached a copy of the same with my porting request application papers. And even then if the Vodaofone forces me to cough up more money without showing me the bill (they haven’t mailed any, just msg on mobile that I need to pay 145 something), I can’t pay since their website does not show my no. and I can’t pay anymore.

Hence request both Vodafone and Airtel to stop this nonsense and creating mental unrest for me. In any case if Vodafone Postpaid needs more money from me they should have responded when I mailed them for due bills. Now after nearly one and half month they suddenly have started asking for money. I will pay if Vodafone shows me the bill and where and whom to I need to pay. For Airtel as well, despite having already submitted the Vodafone Posapaid payment bill copy with my porting application, they are asking me to pay a bill that doesn’t exist and I can’t pay.

Stop doing this and traumatising me, otherwise I will have to think of further course of action.

    I’m also facing the same issue. Even, Vodafone agent has no info regarding the payment due. They only know the amount we need to pay but they don’t know the month of bill generated. I’m pissed off with Vodafone now. Airtel is not helping either. I want to port to Jio but the access was denied due to due amount of Vodafone.

    What should I do now? Please help.
