On 19.03.2013, I have applied for a new IDEA prepaid connection and received the SIM card on the same day with mobile number 7699595018 and SIM no. 899185301000880159 and Imsi no. 404853018808015. On 25.03.2013, I called 59059 for getting it activated but they couldnot verify my address as they are saying that my address doesnot match their database. Inspite of providing the photo copy of my voter ID card and a coloured photograph, they recorded my details irresponsibily in their database. I asked them to verify their database with a scanned or paper copy of the document I have provided, but they denied to do so and asked me to submit a fresh set of document. But why should I do so? What is the guarantee that they are not misusing my document. Why should I provide double set of documents for a single connection? If TRAI has imposed a strong rule against each new connection then why isn’t Idea responsible for protecting the customer interest? If necessary they can take their time to verify my document again and rectify their database or they may ask me to verify with my original document but I’m not going to provide them a second set of document. There should be a strong action against IDEA for the breach of security and trust.
