I took home loan from DHFL in Oct, 2013 for purchase of an apartment in Vasai East. I was paying an EMI on regular basis untill January 2017 when I suddenly got a heart attack. I was hospitalized with huge medical expenses besides which I lost my job also due to my medical conditions.
DHFL staff was constantly chasing me for due EMIs. Finally, I got call on 29-August-2017 from Mr. Nilesh Samant that my flat will be sealed as I have to pay total 5 EMIs and I was asked to visit DHFL, Dahisar Office. To avoid sealing of my apartment, I visited DHFL, Dahisar office on 1-Sept-2017 along with my all medical reports for request of Reduction in ROI on my Home loan. I met Mr. Nilesh Samant & Mr. Nilesh Parkhe and explained him my medical condition as well as my incapacity to pay such huge EMI. Mr. Nilesh Parkhe told me to pay complete outstanding amount of EMI along with various charges immediately so that they can proceed for reduction on ROI on my Home loan.
The outstanding amount that I was asked to pay was 97,014 /- and was committed that my ROI will be reduced from next cycle (10th-Sept) onwards & final amount of EMI will be approx 16-17 thousand per month with ROI between 8% -9%.
I cleared all dues of 97,014/- vide cheque on 04-Sept, 2017 by borrowing from my relatives. But DHFL account statement still shows 2 EMIs + charges as balance on my Loan account. Neither reduction on ROI is being proceeded nor DHFL staff is responding to my calls or emails.
Since then I’m trying to contact Mr. Nilesh Samant and Mr. Nilesh Parkhe about status of my ROI Deduction request but nobody is answering my calls or messages. I am again getting EMI of same previous amount. I also tried to call
Now I’m trying to contact both of them but no one is responding to my queries as well as on request of reduction on ROI. I also wrote detailed email to response team to which I got reply that I need to clear my outstanding dues and regularize my EMIs for 6-12 months then after only my request could be proceeded. But my problem is that I am not in the condition to pay this much high EMI besides I was promised to get reduced EMI from Sept, 2017 onward if I pay all my dues which I paid on same date.
If they would have refused to reduce it, I would have preferred to seal my apartment instead of taking loan of 1 Lac Rs and again getting trapped in same condition.
Please don’t ever borrow loan from DHFL. I have till date paid 9 Lacs on Loan of Rs. 21,49,000 in 4 years & they have deducted principle amount of Rs. 1 Lac only. They are fooling around with people. Its better to borrow loan from any Govt. bank rather than any private financial institution.
