I am writing this to inform you that I had purchased a split AC of 1.5 tonne last year in the month of June 2013 . However, on the 26th of September, my AC stopped cooling. I called up the customer service and my Reference number is- 8454396781. A person from the customer service of Samsung came to my house and looked into the issue. He said that the gas in the AC has finished due to which he referred me to a local service center of Samsung named SN Enterprise. The address of SN Enterprise is

I spoke to 2 persons named Mr. Anjan Das ( mobile number-8335033853) and Mr. Dipak Das (mobile number-8336902290). They said that the coil was damaged and the gas needed refilling, and this would cost around INR 7600. This information was extremely disturbing as I had purchased this AC for INR 28,500. It was extremely saddening to learn that within one year I have to pay nearly 1/4 th of the purchased price for repair.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that I am a very loyal customer of Samsung and hence have always availed your products. This kind of approach is completely unexpected from Samsung. I would like to request a discount so that I may continue to use this appliance and other Samsung products in the future. Also, I would like to mention that the behavior of Mr. Anjan Das and Mr. Dipak Das was unacceptable. They demanded INR 500 just to send an engineer to my place and an amount of INR 250 just to transport the AC to and fro from their workshop. This came as a shock because the price that they demanded was not equivalent to any of the work done by the engineer. The engineer had just looked at the product and not done anything. However, just for this he was charging INR 500. Also, the distance from their service center SN Enterprise to my mentioned address is a mere 5.2 km and the time taken to travel is 12 minutes via Jadavpur Central Road. After much coaxing and showing them a free service coupon I have during purchasing of AC, they reduced the price to INR 250.
I would be extremely grateful if you take some time out from your busy schedule and look into this matter. I would also like you to grant me a discount so I can continue using this appliance. Please kindly get back to me on this as soon as you can. I believe you would be able to find a remedy to my problem.
