Unable to get services disconnected from them.

Location/place: Ghaziabad

Name of company/service: Tikona Internet Service

Dear Sir,

I had sent an email to Tikona for the service discontinuation from Tikona (Internet services) on 29th May 2012; before the due date of 13th June 2012 for continuation of the internet services.
For the same, I received an email on 1st June 2012 that disconnection will be processed within 45 days from the date of request for disconnection.

In order to make sure that services will be discontinue and they will not charge anything since I have stopped using their services from 29th May 2012 itself, I reconfirm with their customer service representative and they informed me that since you are not using the services, user will not be charged and your account request for disconnection has been received.
Somehow, their representative kept on calling me on weekly basis for the payment for further services; and I kept on clarifying that I have already given a request for the disconnection of the services. After few days, they stopped calling me.

Now all of a sudden, I got a call on 13th July 2012 from the recovery agent that you have a outstanding payment of INR 3700/- and you need to pay without any further delays. These people have started threatening me that they will be sending recovery agent to collect money from your home, and they told me you will face consequences for not paying us.
Sir, I request you to kindly look into this issue as I have a written email to them for disconnection of the services and received their confirmation, then why I am supposed to pay these charges.
Please note my customer id is 1105137621 and the recent request no which I have received from their customer service is 1-2349331681.
I humbly, request you to kindly look into this matter and help us from this situation.
