I have Toshiba C665-P5010 Laptop. Recently I found the right side hinge of the laptop was broken from inside the casing, and the screw supporting the hinge had broken and remained inside the casing. I gave it to Authorized Servicing Center in BHUBNESWAR (ORISSA) with Case . The engineers informed me that this damaged hinge can not be covered under warranty as it is a plastic part. I believe that eventhough it is a plastic part, as it is broken from inside, it has to be a manufacturing defect and needs to be covered under warranty.
I have mailed them regarding same, but they are not ready to replace or repair the hinge under warranty.
