‘Tikona Digital Networks’ not giving internet connection nor giving refund of the amount taken.

On 18th of June, 2012 I had called Tikona and enquired about various plans. I got a call from a person by the name of Mr. Santosh (Mobile Number: 8286643591) and told me that he is calling from Tikona and offered me various plans with discounts. I asked him to come to my place and explain me the plan. He sent his person (Mobile Number: 9029024286) immediately to my house and showed me the rate plans.

I finally settled for 4mbps plan which costs 2800/- including installation. He offered me Rs. 500 discount on installation charges and asked me to pay Rs.2300/- cash and not by cheque as it would take time to process. As I was in a hurry for the connection, I paid him cash and gave him all the necessary documents and photograph. He gave me the receipt and promised to start my connection within an hour.

After that he stopped taking my calls. I was continuously trying to call that person since then, but he never took my call and most of the time he kept his mobile off.

So I had no choice and I went to the head office in Bhandup, and there I was asked to meet Mr.Nitin Bhosle. I met him and explained him all the matter and gave him all the details. According to him, the person who came to my office has left your organization long time back. But if that was the case than how he came to know that I am looking for an internet connection and how was he able to give me the original company receipt.

As I have the receipt of the payment, I requested Tikona several times and emailed them about the same to either give me an internet connection or refund me the money, but nothing is happening.

I request consumerforums to kindly look into the matter and solve my problem as soon as possible.
