Request you to please help me out here.
I took a Tikona prepaid broadband connection (Plan name : ADBF750K) on 17th July 2012.
Under this prepaid plan, I paid Rs 3300 & i was allocated 50 GB usage valid for 20 months at a speed of 750kbps.
The internet connectivity was never good in my area & connection outages were quite usual.
But from around 15th March 2013, the Tikona server in my area went down.
I raised several complaints over phone & email – For eg : 1-2680593647 , 1-2754007981, 1-2769349796
Initially they told me that the server is not going to come up & my connection would be terminated & remaining balance would be refunded.
Then after few weeks i got a call from their mumbai team – 022-61726500 & i was told that the server might come up in 10-15 days & they kept on extending this time period until July.
Finally i was informed in July that the server is not going to be reestablished. So i told them to go ahead with disconnection & refund the amount as per usage. They agreed over phone. Then I got the below email from Tikona customer care.
” As per your request for termination of Tikona broadband User ID 1106978457, registered against your name, your service has been terminated
Mentioned below are the Full and Final Settlement details for your Account no. 118499095:
Amount Payable :Rs.00
Non – Usage Period :Rs.00
Waiver for Non-Usage Period :Rs.00
Balance Amount Payable :Rs.00 ”
I replied to that email asking – How can the refund amount be Zero? Mine was a prepaid connection & i used 15 GB in 10 months OUT OF allocated 50 GB in 20 months. Hence i am eligible for a refund , as the termination of my Service is initiated by Tikona due to unavailability of server in my area. I am not responsible for such a situation.I want to know the refund amount that i will be getting from Tikona, since mine was a prepaid connection.
I assure you i ll return the modem equipment, wires i received as part of the installation once i know my refundable amount on email.
No reply received for 1 week. Sent a reminder email as well. No replies.
Then today on 31st Aug, i again called up the customer care & now they tell me that “Sir that amount is a one time non refundable amount. You anyways used for 9-10 months Sir.” New complaint id : 1-2774995033
This is just ridiculous & a very pathetic example of customer service from Tikona.
