This is Romila.I lost my airtel 3g datacard in February 2013 and called the airtel customer care asking to discontinue the service.They asked me to go to the airtel gallery to discontinue it and then again i told them to discontinue from their end and they said that they will do so.I received a call from the customer care also saying that the number has been disconnected.But after some days again i started getting calls saying that i had to pay the outstanding amount.I told them that I had discontinued the service long ago they said that it was not yet discontinued and there was no complaint that was registered by me to discontinue the service.Finally after being irritated so much I sent an email to airtel asking to lodge a complaint to discontinue on March 24th 2013.But they replied to me on April 16th 2013 which means that they had not yet disconnected the dongle till 16th april.Now i get calls from them asking to pay the outstanding amount and say that they have filed a case against me.But the question is why should i pay the bill when i havent used it.It was the fault from their end that they did not discontinue the connection imediately even after getting so many calls by me.This is very diappointing.Please guide if anyone faced the same issue
