The issue started 9 days back
Earlier I saw an advertisement on one of the online portal for the new tata photon+ internet service. The scheme was, if I pay two months advance rental for postpaid unlimited plan, then I would get device free of cost. I contacted the person who has put up that particular adv. Mr. Vicky who said he is an authorised Tata Photon dealer. He then forwarded my request to Tata Photon+ channel partner Mr. Umesh S. Angare who has agency name Om Sai Ram Telecom Services.
So for that He came to my place, checked and collected all signed documents. He also collected payment Rs.1525 for the plan I described above. Next day he handed over me a Tata Photon+ device (MEID number :A10000234B9A8A).
Now the status is that, after handing over that device there has been silence for three days. My Internet connection was not activated. I started following up with those persons but sometimes they dont receive a call and somehow if they pickup a call they started giving deadlines. Even after 9 days of payment given my internet service is not activated. I have followed up the matter many a times with him and his senior Mr. Vicky who said is a authorized dealer but so far matter is not resolved. They are not activating the internet connection also not refunding my money.
They say that my form is rejected for some reason. Now, when I asked them refund in case if they could not activate my internet connection then the channel partner said he will deduct 20% of the money and that too, he will first collect the device and then he will return money after two days.
The channel partner Mr. Umesh S. Angare doesnt even willing to return my signed documents which he collected to fill up a form to activate the internet connection. I fear my douments can be misused.
I tried contacting the Tata photon+ customer care deparment. Their executive said they cannot do any help in this regard and I have to go to some dealer for this. I talked to other dealer and he said I can mail on Tata customer care. I serached mail id on their website and emailed my issue. I received an automated reply saying that I must mentioned ten digit tata number only then my complaint can be registered. The issue is my device is not activated by above dealer/channel partner so from where I get this number. I then also emailed with MEID number mentione on device but I received same automated reply from tata photon customer care.
The status is that I have paid two month advance rental for tata photon+ internet connection but my internet connection is not activated. Also, my signed documents are not being returned.
I request consumer forum to lookinto the matter.
