One of my friend took 2 TATA Photon CDMA dongles with the offer of “buy 1 and get 1 free” with Rs. 1300 from the Tata Docomo store. He was given post paid connection. At the time of selling the product the store people said that you will be given a single number for 2 dongles. Today he went to the same store for changing his plan. They said that he has 2 different numbers for 2 dongles. Due to confusion he wanted to cancel one connection and keep the other one. After applyning for cancellation of 1 of the connections the store people said that it will take 3 days to process the cancellation process. And now my friend needs to pay charge for 3 days even after cancellation. When he asked why he needs to pay, they said it is compulsory and one should know all this before buying their product. Not only this they were so furious with my friend as if they were coming to hit him. They even said that it is their ABILITY to sell a product by fooling the consumer withholding the right information and for the right information we need to visit their site and check all the details. Is it feasible for every consumer to look for minute details in a website? Is this the way the employees of TATA Teleservices deal with their consumers? Are they already started smelling monopoly in telecom sector? Has TATA Teleservices started harassing consumers like others?
