Surrender of policy

Location/place: Pune Maharahstra

Name of company/service: Max new york

I have invested in max newyork life insurance policy. My policy number :426850996 and started the effective on 30th oct 2006

From the commencement of the policy i have paid the 2 years and 3 months of premium of (Rs 54000), after which i was not in position of further payment of the premium.

Now i have medical emergency and when i want to surrender the policy , the insurance company with repeated mails visiting office of max newyork i am unable to surrender the policy and they are telling that i will get any money from surrender.

As in one of the earlier mail to customer care they told me i will be getting my money after cutting the charges but now they are denying that also they are telling that they have sent mail by mistake.

So i consider to contact consumer forum so please help me as the company is negligent and don’t bother to surrender the policy . Please
help me.
