It is just 2 years 6 Months back i buy sony lcd tv KLV-32BX300 from khosla electronics (Dalhoisie,Kolkata). But recently i found the my screen divided two part down portion is some greyish color and upper portion is normal and some portion of lcd became rough no transportation or accidental damage it is may be lcd panel had some manufacture defect as per sony service centre people after inspect.
I called up sony customer care he told me it is lcd panel manufacture fault need replacement that cost around 14000 (My TV cost was 33000).I ask him what is other option he told me take exchange offer from Sony. Then i ask what if same problem occurred again he told hopefully sony already resolved this problem.
Now my question is as a Sony loyal customer (my previous Sony TV still in working condition aged 18 years old and only two servicing done), what is sony main business aim now put customer into trap that buy lcd with high cost then after 2 years it is panel life is gone then again claim huge money to repair this.In that time no extended warranty support provision not present but I can do now one 33000 tv only last for 2 years 6 months.
I will request to all people please think again and again before buy sony tv because first sony tv costlier than its competitor, second it is life only 2 years 6 month after that again you have to pay almost half price to repair it and this cycle goes on lifetime.
According to manufacturers, a TV has a lifespan of approximately 40,000 to 60,000 hours (continuous use), representing between 4 and 10 years (active use). Of course, this remains theoretical.
My Watching time : 7000(700×10) only what is Sony explanation on this .
Why Sony try to fool us,I want my lcd should fixed with nominal cost as it was manufacturing defect.
