This is bring to your notice the disappointment and harassment experienced with regard to the 3G internet Vodafone account few days after activation.
1. 3G (post-paid 650) account activated on iPAD 2 from Chandannagar Vodafone store on 27 April 2013 after submission of all documents
2. Information received from the Sales executive that an address verification would be conducted in few days.
3. A verification personnel reached the address for verification and met my parents & talked to me over mobile on the number provided for contact.
4. Internet connection was found de-activated on 7 May 2013
5. Called Chandannagar Vodafone sales personnel and was told that address verification had failed. Explained situation but no recourse provided. Wanted to talk to superior of the store but not given access over phone instead provided number of Vodafone nodal officer
6. Called Nodal officer and asked for details of the deactivation and was told that profile verification had failed. This was unacceptable and hence asked her for recourse with regard to how address or profile verification could fail. if the concern isnt addressed adequately no more reactivation of connection required.
7. No satisfactory response provided to the above instead a 2nd person sent for re-verification when I had not given for any more consent in this regard.
8. A call was received towards the end of May 2013 from Chandannagar store stating that the connection is being reinstated. I clearly mentioned that I have faced lots of problem due to this disconnection over a period of approx 3 weeks and would want a satisfactory redressal to my concerns before any re-activation is done on the line.
9. Meanwhile a bill of Rs 277 was sent w r t the initial usage of a week or so.
10. I have never used the connection after the so-called virtual re-activation. Following which to my surprise I received another bill towards the end of June 2013 of Rs 665
11. I called helpline and asked for cancellation of my account and was told that it wasn’t required as the account has already been suspended due to non-payment of earlier bill.
12. If the above incidents weren’t enough, I received another bill on 25 July 2013 of Rs 665. I was totally shocked at that.
13. On 2 September 2013 I have received a final reminder to pay outstanding amount of Rs. 1046.90 within 12 September failing which legal action would be taken.
Please deliberate on the sequence of incidents above and take prompt necessary action to sort this matter out urgently.
