Sir/Madam

I am an old customer of Vodafone and I appreciate the excellent
service provided by them. But this time I really had a bad experience
with Vodafone which I decided to bring into your notice instead of
discussing this matter on social networking websites and to lodge a
complaint to consumer court.

I visited Vodafone store sector-3 Rohini New Delhi in first week of
june 2012. In store Mr. Sahil served me. I requested Mr. Sahil to
convert my mobile number 09999996569 from post-paid to pre-paid as I
my usage is very low than the given allowance and I am paying more
than I use. Mr. Sahil convinced me to stay on post-paid plan and
offered me a plan which is Rs. 99 per month as I am a valuable
customer for him. I agreed for the suggested plane and Mr. Sahil
assured me that I will receive the confirmation SMS within 2-3 days.

WhenI have not received any confirmation SMS after 10-12 days I again
visited Vodafone store. Mr. Sahil requested me to speak to his senior
Mr. Nitin regarding this. Mr. Nitin apologised for this and again
assured me the confirmation to be sent within 2-3 days. But when
nothing happened after 3 days I spoke to Mr. Nitin again in store and
asked to speak to the store manger regarding this matter, but Mr.
Nitin did not let me speak to the store manger but assured me for the
matter to be resolved as soon as possible and has given me his
personal number *****11637 for the convenience that I don’t need to
come to the store again and again. I spoke to Mr. Nitin again but he
has not given me a proper resolution on this.

Vodafone customer care forced me stay on post paid connection and keep
sending me bills for the service which I don’t need. Few days back
Miss Amrit from vadafone called me for paying the bill, but I refused
to pay the bill and explained the matter to her she assured me for a
call back from the concerned team within 8 hours, but nobody called
me. Miss Amrit again called me for paying bill I again refused and
asked for her manager to speak to me. Amrit’s manger Miss Suman spoke
to me and apologized for what happned in Vodafone store and offered me
to wave off the penalty on bills, but I refused the offer because this
was not the proper solution of the matter. She assured me for the call
back from concerned team within 8 hours but I have not received any
call as yet.

Moreover, I was very surprised when nobody bothered to find out the
possible solution for my query but barred my outing calls though it’s
Vodafone store’s fault not mine. This was totally unexpected and
unacceptable.

Vodafone customer care is polite and smart enough to convince their
customer to stick to higher price plans but not smart enough to
provide a proper resolution to their queries and complaints. I lived
in England and I am aware of standard and reputation of Vodafone UK.
But the poor customer service in India simply does not match the
standard of Vodafone UK.

I hope you have gone through my email carefully and will take this
matter seriously and will respond to my email soon.

Regards
