REPLACEMENT OF UPS BATTERY (LUMINOUS)

A battery (LUMINOUS-13BV01L4008656-Fev 2011)) for my INTEX UPS was purchased from “HEMA ENTERPRISES, SHOP NO.2, NAZA Market, Behind Eastern Book Co., 34 Lalbagh, Lucknow” on 27 Jul 2011. As per the shopkeeper, one year replacement warranty was given as the LUMINOUS batteries were the best amongst all other at the time of purchase.

On 22 Jun 2012, I realised that my UPS is not giving backup even for a second and try to made a call on Mob No.9415754563 (Mr. Rahul) provided on the bill of above mentioned shop. No response was given. On 24 Jun 2012, I talk to Mr. Rahul and complained regarding the battery. I was told to come on 25 Jun 12 (Mon) after 1300h with UPS. I went to the shopkeepre on 25 Jun 12 at 1800h and was told that the service centre was closed at 1700h. I kept my UPS with shopkeeper and send my rep on 26 Jun 12 to collect my UPS. I was told by the shopkeeper on mob that there is fault in the battery and I have to approache to LUMINOUS Service Centre, which was not my duty, because the battery was purchased from HEMA ENTERPRISES only.

However my rep approaced LUMINOUS Service Centre, Alambagh on 27 Jun 12 and they denied to replace the battery. Again the call was given to the shopkeeper and the matter was told to him. Now “HEMA ENTERPRISES” is giving silly justifications that response of LUMINOUS batteries is not good since last one year and we are also facing problems.
Now on 12 Jul 2012, my damaged bty has been replaced with a new one after taking an amount of Rs.350/-.

Please suggest next course of action.
