I am using airtel postpaid phone 9987586736. My bill due date is 24th of every month. For the month of January, I have made the payment on 22nd January. I have made the payment using kotak credit card. From 25th January onwards, airtel customer care has started calling me that I have not made the payment. They call me at least 6 times a day even though I have communicated the Transaction Reference number as VT130230056000280000195 for the payment I made. I have given the details and tallied the same for at least some 50 times but again I land up with an airtel customer care call in which they say I have not made the payment. After around 20 days, I received an airtel customer care call saying the problem has been resolved and my payment is reflected but I am still getting calls from airtel saying I have not made the payment. Mostly, one of the numbers from which I am getting calls is 7738059779. This situation is very mentally harassing where I am daily getting calls that I have not made the payment even though I have made, quoting number of times the transaction ID, again telling the whole story to the airtel customer care person every time.
This is not the first time I am facing problem with the airtel. On 2nd November 2012, I have purchased data card from airtel and around 15th November 2012 I have closed the data card as I was facing network issue. I had done all the necessary documentation and procedure for closing the same. But for two months, airtel was generating bills for the data card account and asking me to make the payment. After much heated argument and discussion, it seems that they have closed the account as I am not getting calls in regards to this for past some days. But, I am not sure of this as it is possible I will get a call from now.
