Reliance Broadband not working since 20 days

My customer id is – 295339876423

My connection went kaput on the 21st of July 2014. I immediately called the local line man who assured me he will check it out asap. He didn’t restore the connection. After around 2 days of no connection i complained on the CC. Soon after i received an SMS saying my problem has been resolved. The problem was not resolved and infact it was far from it. Everytime I registered a new complaint I received SMSs saying my problem has been resolved. All the while my line is completely dead. No ‘wan’ connection whatsoever. No engineer has visited my place as well. Now when i called the CC, the lady told me that my complaint has been resolved. Apparently they have stopped sending me SMSs and have started closing the complaints quietly. This is totally unacceptable. Why is it that I receive calls about bill payment whereas no one calls me to ask about my problem? Irony is that I pay the bill using the reliance login webpage – which means no internet = no bill payment. It works for me, hope it works for them as well.

I will wait two more days and if my problem is not resolved I will switch ISP and throw away the reliance wires. And of-course do not expect me to pay any more bills.

Thanks.

I received a call. If everything works out I may get my connection working again by today, 9th Aug, itself.

Keeping those proverbial fingers crossed 😉

    Day 3.

    Connection restored!!

Reliance engineer just left the premises. I thank CONSUMERFORUMS.IN for making my problem heard, and also thanks Reliance Social media team.

I know its a long wait for a petty problem (the engineer just reconnected the pin in the DP box) but I do hope reliance employs more line level workers, instead of firing them (as the news recently read of downsizing Reliance Broadband workforce).

    Thanks again…

Here is an update to the Reliance problem –

Apparently they had not closed my earlier complaint for which I took help of this forum. That problem was resolved a month ago but it still shows ‘open’ and under process in the Call Center computers (today on 6th Sep ’14). I found this out because my Reliance broadband connection is down again. Its been 48 hours and my complaint id for the RSMT is 224646161 . This is a new complaint as I have asked for a new complain id instead of dragging on the 2 month old complaint. I am writing here because I want to make this known to the world. I will also time everything.

48 hours ago my connection failed, complaint registered. Called CC twice, same old “24 hours mein solve ho jayega” reply.

    Problems –

    1. Even though my earlier problem was solved, the same was not updated on CC database as I was told that my old compliant is still under process.

    2. I can see the Reliance guy loitering in the neighborhood but yet no one has come to rectify my problem since 2 days.

    3. Last time when my connection was restored after nearly a month of no connection, it took the repairman less than 5 minutes to solve the problem. He did something in the distribution box – took him less than 5 minutes – but it took Reliance 22 days to send someone to get the job done.

I am counting days again, its Day 2 of Reliance broadband not working..and the horror show continues…
