Refusal to attend BB Phone in warranty

Location/place: NEW DELHI

Name of company/service: Blackberry India

I purchased Blackberry handset BB 9220, IMEI No 3554 1505 9181 363 from Spice Hotspot, Spice Retail Limited (21/4, Yusuf Sarai Main Market, near Green Park Gurudwara, N Delhi) under Invoice No is 6025 on 6th April 2013 for Rs 9400/-.

Just after 4 months, my phone suddenly went dead few days back– no signal, no display. I sent my Manager to Blackberry Nehru Place Service Centre. However, I was shocked to receive the following feedback from the Nehru place Centre:
a) The LCD display is not working and the same is not under warranty
b) Cost of Rs 11,000 for the same.

It is shocking to note that Blackberry Service Centre refuses to entertain/ rectify phone under warranty.

If Mobile’s display is not included in warranty, what else is? The plastic body? It is a highly malafide intent of Blackberry to push sub standard products in India and then avoid giving it adequate service, by leaving Warranty and Service management to greedy franchisee players who are not concerned with Customer Service or standing upto the stature of Blackberry global.

Highly appalled at the substandard product and refusal of RIM Blackberry India to provide adequate service/repair/replacement backup.
