I PURCHASED A FLAT IN BRIGADE PLUMERIA, BANGALORE (BUILT BY BRIGADE GROUP) UPON BEING REFERRED TO DO SO BY MY BROTHER, AS HE WAS PROMISED A REFERRAL BONUS FOR THE SAME. MY BROTHER TOLD THE BRIGADE GROUP SALES PERSONNEL MY INTENTION TO PURCHASE.
SINCE I AM IN CHENNAI, THE AGENT HAS FILLED UP THE BOOKING FORM ON MY BEHALF, IN BANGALORE, WRITING HIS OWN NAME AS THE REFERRING PERSON AND MADE MY FATHER SIGN THE FORM ON MY BEHALF. I HAD NO CLUE THAT THE BOOKING FORM DID NOT HAVE MY BROTHERS NAME IN IT.
NOW BRIGADE GROUP IS REFUSING TO PAY MY BROTHER THE REFERRAL BONUS DUE TO HIM, CITING THAT THE BOOKING FORM DOES NOT HAVE HIS NAME MENTIONED. ONLY AFTER ASKING REASONS FOR REJECTING MY BROTHERS REFERRAL BONUS CLAIM, DID I COME TO KNOW THAT THIS IS A BIG SCAM. I WAS FORWARDED MY BOOKING FORM, WHICH I WAS SEEING FOR THE FIRST TIME, SINCE I WAS NOT PRESENT WHEN IT WAS FILLED AND SIGNED!!
I FEEL CHEATED BY BRIGADE GROUP AS:
1. I DID NOT FILL UP THE BOOKING FORM, BUT THEY DID THEMSELVES
2. I DON’T EVEN KNOW THE PERSON WHO IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE REFERRED ME TO INVEST IN THE PROPERTY ACCORDING TO THE BOOKING FORM (NO ONE CONTACTED ME FROM BRIGADE GROUP AT THAT TIME. THEY ONLY WANTED TO HURRIEDLY GET ONE MORE FLAT SOLD!!)
3. MY BROTHERS REFERRAL BONUS IS DENIED BASED ON THE BOOKING FORM THAT IS NOT FILLED OR SIGNED BY ME!!!

Brigade Group website boasts of the company’s ethics and norms in paying out the referral bonus. But in the case of Plumeira J 0465 they have not done Justice.
They cannot show the cost sheet of J 0265 and claim that they have paid the referral bonus for J 0465. These are
– 2 different customers
– 2 different registrations
– 2 different cost sheets
And J 0465 is claiming the referral bonus, for successfully effecting the purchase of J 0265.Please provide us the cost sheet for Plumeira J 0465 with evidence that the referral bonus has been paid or the same discounted from their cost.
The buyer of J 0465 is the Only person who referred me to invest in a unit in Brigade Plumeira. The reason why he was rejected the bonus, is due to “my booking form” not mentioning his name. And here is where my consumer rights have been violated.
Why is this vital information regarding my booking form shared with me only after my raising queries in this regard? All sales agents whomsoever were dealing with this purchase at that time, know only my brother and his referral. How come someone else’s name is put in “my booking form” as the Referring party, when I (the buyer) don’t know this person? If Proof and evidence is what is needed here, then clearly there is more evidence in my claim.
I agreed to invest in the property only because my brother referred me to do so with the belief that, as per Brigade Group’s policy he would be getting a Referral Bonus. It is natural to feel cheated when his right is so blatantly rejected due to a cunning ploy by the Sales team, by putting their name in my booking form, instead of his!
I have lodged a complaint with Consumer Rights Groups and Forums in this regard. I will be happy to withdraw my complaint if Brigade Group agrees to pay my brother the referral bonus he is rightfully due.
