Had booked a ticket through red bus for travel from Mumbai to panjim after paying Rs 3800 for 3 tickets
The bus had braking problems half an hour after departure from mapusa.
The bus was also not properly maintained.
I called up red bus & they only said that the fault would be repaired & there was no danger.
They repaired the fault at a local garage after a brief stop of an hour.
The road ahead was full of ghats & a poor braking system would be dangerous for the passengers.
Since we had kids we decided to alight from the bus.
We had to get down on the highway, with great difficulty we managed to get back to mapusa & from there took a cab for Mumbai for rs 14k.
I raised the complaint to red bus after reaching Mumbai & what followed was equally worse.
Some lady from the consumer cell called up & said they will look at it seriously & after half an hour closed the complaint altogether.
I again replied back to their mail stating I was not satisfied & they again called back saying the operator would decide on reimbursement of ticked amount & that red bus would not be able to go beyond that.
After this call they again closed the complaint.
After a couple of days one more person called up saying they will take immediate action.
That is the last I heard from them.
