I have used Connect Internet Service 3 times.

First time i used it around 2007-2008 where my number was 1763509967. I used it for few years. In 2010 I was moving to Chandigarh so i decided to disconnect the internet service. Since it was a very old connection, i was getting more data to use on it and it was cheap as compare to the new connection plans of that time. My Cousin was also using the Connect Internet at that time but he decided to use mine and disconnect his. The connect people shifted the connection from my Home to his Shop. I told connect people that its their responsibility to take/recover bill from my Cousin since i am leaving the city and i will not pay any pending amount if he (cousin) is not paying it.

My cousin used it for few months but then he didn’t pay the bill which resulted in disconnection of internet connection.

Second time i used connect internet service when i moved back from Chandigarh to my City in 2014. This time my number was 1763503434. In order to get the new connection, the company asked me to pay my previous pending bill around 3000/- Rupees. I told them that it was used by my cousin not me but still i paid the settlement amount of 2,000/- and I believed that all my previous due with the company is cleared now. I used their service for a year or more then i disconnected it and submitted the Router, phone and other items in their office and paid the pending amount.

Third time, i requested for the internet connection in August 2017. I gave the copy of my ID proof to the recovery boy and waited for my internet connection but i didn’t receive anything from them. After couple of days i called the person who was responsible for the new connections. I was shocked when he said there is a previous bill pending for 1763509967 which i need to pay around 1500/- in order to get the new connection. I told him that i have already paid the 2,000/- settlement amount in 2014 and he need to check with his bill recovery boy. He said it is a new amount generated by our system. I asked him if i was a defaulter then why did you put the internet connection second time in 2014 but he had no answer. After few calls, i paid rupees 600/- as a settlement amount and the receipt number is 28407925/124 dated 14/Aug/2017. I again hoped that there is no pending due but it was all lied. They put the new internet connection and the new number was 1763505671 and its monthly rent was around 1,500/- p.m. I used their service for a week but i didn’t like it due to very low uploading speed (only 0.430kbps). I asked for higher uploading speed plan since it was affecting my work but they said they do not have any plan where uploading speed is above that. After 10 days, i submitted a disconnection request which was accepted by the company. I went to their local office and submitted the Modem and splitter devices against receipt number 99025 dated 9/9/2017. I also asked the lady for any pending bill but she said there is no pending bill.

In the beginning of this month October 2017 i received a call from Delhi. The lady on the phone said her name as Divya Chaudhary and told that she is calling from Tis Hazari Court where a case has been submitted by Connect company against me for non-payment of bill. She gave me case number 1203691 and asked me to call the Advocate Rakesh Sharma whose number is 09911664483. I thought this call is regarding a pending bill of my new connection which I used for 10 days and was expecting around 1000/- or maximum 1500/-. I called this person Rakesh Sharma and i told him why the company didn’t send me any bill and went to file a case against me to recover 1000 – 1500 rupees? He said, its not 1000, it is more than 4,000/- and I was shocked to hear that. In the beginning, this person talked like a gentleman but when i told him that i am not going to pay for 4000 rupees because i already paid 2600 rupees for my first connection, this person started saying abusive words to me, I disconnected the call. Since then i am receiving one call every alternate day from different person.

I also received 2 calls in two days from Connect office number +91 172-5030154 where the lady on the phone told me that i didn’t submit my modem to the local office for my recent connection disconnection. I told her that i already submitted the modem and also provided the receipt number. Second time, the lady repeated same thing, I asked her why i am receiving calls again from your office. She said we have many branches so I might receive calls from different branches but when i checked the number it was same +91 172-5030154.

After all these things, i realized that there is complete lack of information sync between each branches and they are not updating the customer information. They lied to me 2 times where i already paid the settlement amount twice for my old connection 1763509967 and i don’t know what is happening with my recent connection disconnection. I believe they added Modem charges to my account as well.
