Location/place: Delhi
Name of company/service: Airtel Postpaid Services
I am using Airtel postpaid services since 5 years. My postpaid credit limit is 3500 Rs. Recently I went to malaysia and singapore and got my international roaming activated.
When I came back, I saw that a message was sent to me that my bill is approx. 5990. After two days it was approx. 7300. After Two days it was 9397.
I asked airtel that my limit was 3500 , how could i exceed the limit. They said its unbilled amount,no discounts are included in this.
Now when my bill is generated the amount is 10,627. If I would have known this, i would have purchaseda local sim of that country and proceeded with the calling.
What is the purpose of defining a limit on the phone. Also, my consent was not taken when my limit was removed from my phone.
Simply, because i travelled to another cuntry, they removed all the limits and barriers on my phone calling.
What should I do now?? How will I pay the bill exceeding the limit. Also, in the past 5 years, my bill never ever exceeded the limit of even 2000 Rs. I don’t know what to do. Please help.
