POOR SERVICES OFFERED BY ALPS TOURIST SERVICES KOLKATA

The horrible incidents faced by our families during Thailand Trip dated 25th May’13 – 29th May’13.

1. No Alps dedicated group leader was sent with us and we had faced lot of difficulties during trip.

2. At the time of booking in March’ 2013, I have asked to keep complete package cost of my family (2 adult + 1 child below 12 years) within INR 80000/- (inclusive taxes. etc.), but their marketing team ignored my requests and several mails / telephonic conversations were exchanged for the same. Ultimately, on consideration of my family commitment, I was compelled to accept your offered rate of INR 83503/- (inclusive taxes. etc.).
However, in later date they have offered huge discounts on this trip and most of the our team members availed the benefit.
My question is from that is it was my fault to book earlier and made full payments in time?

3. The hotel provided at Pattaya was low standard as hotel was under renovation and don’t have swimming pool facility.

4. Dinner offered on 28th night at Bangkok in the poor category hotel.

Their marketing people at the time of booking promised me to provide 3 star plus category hotels with good quality food in standard restaurants which I found was missing and it was a false commitment. Is it their way of attracting tourist?

5. The air conditioning system of the bus provided to our group was in horrible condition. We have several times reported to their tour guide as well as group leader for poor performance of air conditioner of bus but sorry to mention here that no action was taken. Ultimately, AC completely failed while returning from temple at Bangkok. Due to this, our group suffered a lot. This is the quality of services Alps offer to tourist?

6. We were kept stayed back at Bangkok hotel rooms till 12.30 PM and our complete first half was ruined due to poor planning and cutting corners by Alps. We could visit temples in morning session and marketing in afternoon session and we could take rest at hotel rooms till 10.30 -11.00 PM before departure for airport. We had asked to them over phone for making such arrangements but they have simply denied and referred year 2012 (old) itinerary provided us at the time of booking.

7. Their representative Mr.Susanto Mukherjee just act as a tourist like me during the tour , we wanted to inform him several issues which are lacking but he told us he is just like me he has nothing to do.

8. Alps office informed us that dinner will be served at the airport on the night we left for Bangkok , but the food they supplied that was only a snacks packet , we could not had it nor even my child , whole night we were with empty stomach , on 26.05.2013 morning we had our breakfast till then we were very hungry . I want to know do they give this kind of food in the dinner to their child or their family ?

9. Why they sent us by day time plane , because we only spent 3 nights in the hotel ( 2 Nights Pattaya & 1 night Bangkok )

10. Food was really horrible in the Pattaya , all the restaurants served us same kind of food.

11. Our group member tried to contact them over phone , but they kept their phone off and did not tried to understand our problems.

I am very sorry to inform that this kind of service was really shocking . I understand customer satisfaction should be the motto of the business .

Trust this forum will look into the matter and take necessary action. I am the sufferer, atleast I wish no other persons should face similar kind of problems in their leisure trips.
