Poor service and pathetic hardware that fails very often

Dish Tv is probably the poorest sevice providers in the telecommunications. Every now and then their signal goes down and the customer has to call them to regain broadcast. Every year they somehow make sure to charge 400-500 extra for either their services or replacement of their poor hardware.

After a whole day rainfall in Mumbai their signal again disappeared and when we called customer care they say a technician will be sent to our place who will charge Rs 200 for visit and extra charges for any hardware replacements.

Even the same thing happened last year. We recharged our account for 3 months and the next day the signals were lost. They sent a technician who charged us Rs 600.

Does DishTv use cheapest hardware that cannot sustain rains. We understand that there could be some intermittent problems while broadcasting in rains that can cause signal problems. But the signal should be retained once the weather is clear.

We are really frustrated by the services of DishTv and I am sure there must many unhappy customers like us.

I request consumer Forum to take strict action against DishTv.
