Name of company/service: Voltas AC. Crystal Care, AC & R .BG /UP Service , 8 N.S Road , Kolkata-700001.
I had purchased a Voltas 1.5 Tonne Split AC at Pune Maharashtra .I had to disinstall the machine and get it re-installed at my Kolkata Address, 1/4 Hindustan Road , as I relocated to Kolkata . I had got the AC installed by calling the Voltas Customer Care number and service technicians from VOltas Kolkata Office had installed the AC and the Outdoor Unit . Subsequently , when the AC was not giving the desired level of cooling , I called up the Voltas Customer Care number and registered several complaints like – 12JU0907538, 12JU0306144. On both the complaint nos mentioned above , I had specifically mentioned that the engineer should visit my residence only on a sturday . On this pretext the company delayed the engioneer visit for a month and when they finally turned up they did some farse cleaning of the AC Air FIlter and when the problem could not be resolved, they confirmed, that there could be some problem with the compressor and for that they would need to look at the AC outdoor unit which was installed by them on the 6th floor sun shade earlier.
They said it would not be possible for them to check the outdoor unit as it was not possible for them to climb to the 6th floor sunsahde and that I would have to arrange for some technicians to do this my end and they would not be able to resolve the issue .
They said if i had to get the issue resolved I would need to do the same at the timing convenient to them and not on a sturday necessarily .
Now my AC is sitting not repaired by Voltas and on calling the Kolkata Service centre , they behave extreemely rudely .
I am now expecting a resolution to this problem from the consumer forum .
