This is regarding my complain ref number 199737706. I had applied for the shifting of connection on 30 Nov 2012, and I was given the timeline till 5 Dec 2012 for closing the same, however even after repeated follow ups I did not got any response till 9 Dec 2012. Then your technical executive said the connection could not be installed as there is no free space in the box in the said locality. So I applied for the disconnection of the above stated connection. On 12 Dec I received a call from verification department for the same and I informed them that in month of Jan 2013 one connection will get free in the same premises so the person suggested me that you can go for the safe custody of the connection and once the space is available you can get the same number installed there. So I activated the safe custody on my number and I was informed that an amount of rupees 500 would be charged for the same for which I consented. However, now I received the bill for complete period and when i called up on your customer support to reverse the charges they simply declined saying the connection is still active and that we didn’t ask for putting the number in safe custody. We were leaving our old premises and it has been abandoned for the last one month. Why would we keep our number active?
I am only liable to pay till 5 Dec 2012, as after that the delay was from your executive side, and also when i have activated the safe custody then why full charges are being levied on me. This is completely unethical. I have been associated with Airtel since past 14 years and I am really disappointed with this behavior. Please look into this matter on urgent basis
