Few months back I visited Chandni Chowk and parked my Car at Coat Market parking for half an hour. I was issued parking slip that was tore in a way that parking rate printed on the slip could not be seen. Instead, he wrote the charges as Rs 50/- by hand while the original and genuine price printed on the slip should be either Rs10 or Rs 20. When I objected he threatened me with dire consequences and with illegal impounding of vehicle. I still have that slip available with me as a proof. Its a request that competent authorities may either look into this rampant and unabashed growth of parking mafias in Delhi or issue advisories to citizens to bow in front of these goons. Choice is all authorities’s.
