I am residing at the below mentioned address:

In the month of Aug 2012 I have filed a complaint/Application to Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (UGVCL) Bopal Divisional office at Ahmedabad, Gujarat in writing for exorbitant billing of month May-Jun 2012.
My Bill amount which ranged normally between Rs. 1000 – 2500/- and the bill of May-Jun 2012 came for an abnormal amount of Rs. 17,720.58/- pertaining to wrong reading of Meter and wrong manual entry in bill from UGVCL end which was erroneously showing as 5794 units.
For this I have visited UGVCL’s Bopal Division Office and submitted a written application (as guided by officials there) on 14th Aug 2012.
After that it has been told to me to submit an amount of Rs. 4640 which I have submitted on 14th Aug 2012 in cash via receipt no. 034090, based on that time’s current reading which stood at 3,711 units.
It has been communicated to me with a commitment that after this there will be no problem in my records and the Bill will be corrected accordingly.
Now, today on 4th Oct 2012, an official from UGVCL’s end visited my home and told me that my bill has not been paid and my supply will be disconnected with immediate effect. The bill and cash receipt of Rs. 4,640 has been showed to him and also communicated to him that I have submitted a written application and issue has been resolved. Despite of this the official told me that I need to pay my Bill of more than Rs. 13,000/- which has been showing due in their records.
I don’t understand when all things were clear on 14th Aug 2012 then why this issue is coming and it is also clear that it is because it has not been updated in UGVCLs records and rectified then why I as a consumer will suffer.
I tried to reach online portal of complaint on UGVCL’s website however same is not working.
I have submitted similar complaint on their Grievance redressal forum via mail on their mail id ‘[email protected]’, however looking to my previous experience I don’t believe that the same will be resolved in normal course of period, so I am writing the same to you hoping that you will support me in timely resolution.
Please do the needful on priority.
