No changes made in Installment amount from HDFC LIFE and Credit Card Departmeent of HDFC Bank

I am a policy holder of HDFC Life under HDFC SL YoungStar Super Premium.

Policy Number : 15598037

Client id : 59869103

Policy Holder: Mr. Abhijit Verma, Devi Mandap Road, Behind Officer’s Colony, Hesal, Hehal, Ranchi – 834002

Premium Amount :Rs. 15000.00

Term : 15 years

Policy Date : 24th Nov 2012.

Mr. Nimi Arya, who takes care of our corporate(Mr. Car Auto Company Limited) salary account approached me and convinced me about the policy.

Further, he conveyed me that by making payment via credit card, the Premium amount will be converted into 12 equal EMI.

The payment Details:

Credit Card No: 5241 1110 0120 4935

Date of Payment : 23rd Nov 2012

Transaction ID : 076202

Amount : Rs.15000/-

After the generation of the Credit Card Statement for the month December,it was found that an EMI was dialed but the premium has to be paid in 3 equal installments of Rs. 5000/- each.

I called up the credit card customer care (Date of call can be recovered from their IVR) and they conveyed that the payment changes can be done if the request is received from HDFC Life.

On this basis, I called up Mr. Nimi Arya and conveyed the same. He assured me the payment terms will be changed and has not to make the payment for the dialed EMI of Rs. 5000/- .Further he provided me the No. of Mr. Satya Praksh (Mobile No. 8860599955) of HDFC Life and conveyed that he and Mr. Satya Prakash is taking care that the EMI will be converted into 12 equal EMI.

Since the date, continuous followup with both of them was done from my side on different dates and they conveyed me the changes will be incorporated.

On 9th January 2013, I was asked by Mr. Nimi Arya about the below mentioned details.

1. Merchant ID
2. Fund Transfer Date
3. Credit Card Number

On the same date Fund Transfer date and Credit Card Number was provided to him. Also I called up credit card customer care and explained the situation (Call Detail can be recovered from their IVR) and got my Reference Number of the Transaction.

Also I spoke to Yajuvendra Rana of HDFC Bank, he convinced me the changes will be incorporated and the same will reflect in my next Statement and I have to pay the amount in 12 equal EMI.

On 18th January, Credit Card Department raised the Statement, where NO PAYMENT CHANGES HAS BEEN MADE.

I am getting payment calls from the HDFC Credit card collection department for the same. I clearly conveyed that I WILL NOT MAKE THE PAYMENT OF THE DIALED EMI and EXCEPT THIS THE REST AMOUNT WILL BE PAID AS THE EMI AMOUNT IS TO BE CHANGED.

NO CHANGE IN ANY INSTALLMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED

Its really PATHETIC AND EMBARRASSING for such a reputed LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY . Its really HARASSMENT for a policy hoder, Who is getting harrassed for the since the policy is taken.

Also, TREAT THIS MAIL AS ROUTE FOR THE CONSUMER FORUM IF THE PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE MAIL.
