There is a technical problem in Goibibo mobile apps. There is no option to see the updated price where as in the desktop website it has before going to the payment page.
I have clicked confirmation button when the total amount was showing : Rs. 6640/- only but after payment completion I came to know Rs. 7642/- has been deducted from my account instead of Rs. 6640.
It’s not ethical that the system is showing one price and and deducting another price.
I think the logic should be in such a way what others website has (like make mytrip) that if the selected fare and updated fare differs from each other then there should be an notification/alert to the customer whether customer wants to proceed with the booking or not(For e.g. The message should be “Fare has been changed and updated fare is (……) amount. Do you want to proceed with the booking or not”).
When I sent email to Goibibo team, they have simply told the real time price is showing from the airlines database, I agree with them but the main issue is that there should be always a notification to the customer that the Price has been updated from your selected price.
“Without notifying the final price you won’t charge a customer with a higher price. ”
Goibibo technical team should test your mobile apps thoroughly before release it in the web.
