Take notice that I Shri P.P.Nayak (Adv) myself being the consumer of your symphony cooler Model Hi Smart cool is being harassed time and again by your company and service center from the date of purchase i.e. 5.4.2012.
On the same day evening of my purchase i.e. 5.04.2012 I came to know that the remote of the cooler was not working. I tried the customer care number provided to me by the dealer and registered a complaint, the complaint no. is CCE-7E12004; unfortunately there was no human voice contact but only the IVR. Thereafter, after two days one technician named Daya visited my residence and I was informed by him that something called the “PCB” is defective and this has to be changed(Note: This is the condition of the cooler from day one).
After repeated calls and follow up with one Mr. Anil (in the service center) everyday for about one month, the same technician (Daya) visited my residence and after checking the cooler told me that the PCB is alright and the new PCB which he has got with him is of some other model. Therefore the PCB cannot be changed,(Note: This is the standard of service after 1 month of the complaint) the defect still continued and one evening everything started bursting inside the cooler and the switch board to which the cooler was connected got charred. I again registered a complaint, One technician came he told me again the PCB is defective and Daya was told to change the PCB but he did not do it. The second technician changed the PCB but still the remote was not working properly. I received a message which stated that your complaint is being resolved. I immediately called Mr. Anil as I was told that he is incharge of the service center, I was given assuarance that the remote has not yet been received by him in his office and the requisition has been sent. He told me to talk to one Antul Agarwal as Mr. Agarwal is the right person to answer. I called Mr. Agarwal, but the same thing only frivolous promises. Thereafter, the cooler started throwing water from the vent and from the backside, the body of the cooler was completely charged I received electric shocks when I touched it to clean the water. After few days the cooling system stopped.
I have already complained about 10 times in symphony but time and again I am facing one or the other problem from the cooler. Every time I have to waste the whole day waiting for someone to arrive. The result is the same no proper customer service, no replacement only harassment and financial loss by the consumer.
It is pertinent to mention here that as per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme court it is mandatory for a company to display its nodal office number as well as the consumer complaint redressal office number in its website. There is nothing in your website, this is a direct violation of the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme court. Moreover the phone number that you provide with the complaint number is invalid.
Take notice that if the defective cooler that you have sold me is not been replaced by 1 week from today a consumer complaint case will be initiated against your company as well as the service center in the district consumer forum Noida Under Consumer disputes Act for negligent customer service with a claim of Rs.1,00,000 for causing mental agony and financial loss to me and my family. Moreover, it would be my prayer before the Ld. Forum that directions may be given for shutting down Symphony till all the norms are followed.
