Missing cheque not received

Location/place: Pune

Name of company/service: ICICI Bank

This is just inform to you, 3 month back I put my cheque (cheque no.: 830841, issued by LIC Housing finance) in ICICI Bank, Branch: Pune, Viman Nagar, Maharastra, but it got rejected due to error, but rejected cheque not received till date, I have informed so many time but they just are giving excuses. Till, the time rejected cheque not received to me, LIC can’t issue new cheque to me (this is confirmed by LIC reprenstative), and I will have to more interst to builder. Please look on this and let me know, whether bank can be responsible for the same or not? I have wasted my time and money due to bank mistake.
