Legal Notice- Pathetic Customer Service from MTS

I was using MTS broadband services (dongle MDN 84531 26373) which was very slow and I was getting lot of service interruptions. Finally, I decided to close the connection after about 10 months. The MTS store guys at the MTS store were not willing to take the disconnection request at first, but they ultimately agreed.

However, while trying to disconnect the service, they had some server issues and I was told that they would take care of this once they had the service back on. I did pay them my last outstanding bill before requesting the disconnection, and left as I had to get back to work.

After almost 24 months, I now receive a call from Mr. Ranvir Vats from Tees Hazari Court, asking me about a legal notice that was sent to me and that I was due to appear in court in 15 minutes. I stay in Bangalore and I have since changed my address, so I did not have any information about the legal notice sent to the address that MTS had in their records.

This has caused me a lot of mental agony and exasperation at MTS unbelievably bad customer service. Every time I went to their kiosk in BTM layout, they seemed to have some issue or the other with their computers and the overall attitude of the staff was very casual and ignorant. And now, this matter…

Hi,

i had asked for my MTS MBlaze to be disconnected more than a month back. I am very unhappy to see that you guys are still billing me.

I had gone to your kiosk in BTM to get the disconnection done but I was told that there a link failure and they would look into it the next day.

Please note that I am not going to pay more than 900 rs, which was the last outstanding bill that I had to pay, when I requested the disconnection. There already seems to be an error in the billing from last month.

Please read the email chain. I received a call from an advocate in Delhi today regarding a legal notice. Please help me understand what the issue is and why this has happened, even after the e-mail communication between us in 2012.

An extremely unhappy and angry customer.

Hi I’m Praveen from bangalore..I had taken MTS postpaid connection and used for 2yrs with out any outstanding amount..I lost my MTS datacard and went to outlet to inform that and their outlet people said don’t worry sir now the server is slow so we will update it and Also I took another MTS datacard and using it from one year…Now that Legal advocate is calling and annoying to make the payment of old MTS datacard bill is outstanding…I said the story and told him that I’m already using Another MTS datacard why should I pay the bill which I didn’t used only..I told them that I informed in outlet personally but that day outlet people told server down will do that don’t worry buy new one sir…and now I don’t know what to do also I’m trying to tell everyone that MTS are people they are trying cheat people…as I’m getting cheated.
