Kotak Mahindra does not refund the claimed amount of life insurance policy

I had purchased a subscription of a life insurance policy from Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance Limited on 21/06/2007. Plan details are as follows –

I had paid premium amount of Rs./- 9,890.00 Three years successively from 2007 to 2009. Then I decided to postpone this policy due to some inconvenience and claimed my refund amount. I communicated them many times using my son’s email id,called them again and again in their state as well as india head office. They asked me to send one cancellation cheque. I sent the same as early as possible. But I never got the refund amount. So,after a prolonged process of communication through all possible channel, as I get no success, I am writing this complaint. I have all supporting documents with me. I can produce those at any time. Looking response from consumer forum’s side.
